Absolutely compulsive reading, Im amazed Ive not burnt out my Kindle by tapping so fast.Just to say that "Next" is a continuation from the "After" series which I have to say please read this first as you will enjoy this series so much better with all the background on the characters and world as it is. simply cannot put this series down Im already on the next book as I type this.Scotts characters are so realistic and believeable and I absoloutely love Devontes devotion to Rachael through thick and thin risking his life so many times for her. So this is the 2nd book of the Next series and they continue their journey through an even more mutated and dangerous Earth.Rachel is starting to cope with being half-Zap but is still not getting any communication from them and cant help either them or the humans and at the sametime is still confused about who is right or wrong..who will she choose. Meanwhile the government and military wants to attack the Zaps but do not know much about them and all the time the ever evolving mutants are roaming the earth and some can even start to heal themselves.I cannot express enough if you love apocalyptic reads you will find Scotts books are so unique and have so much originality...yep Im TOTALLY addicted!!

Just had to read this second book in the series to find out what happens next, as it petered out to keep us needing to know more. Guess this will be the case right through to the end of this six book series ... sure they could have squeezed this tale into three books but, hey, what do I know!! Keeping me spellbound though, so will plough through to see what happens next as really enjoying this read.
